This is an Events-focused role taking ownership on our client's external event activity. This will include researching, planning, promoting, delivering and evaluating a range of high quality events.

This position will report to the Senior Marketing Manager but operate with a high level of autonomy with full ownership of event activity and budget. With one direct report (Events & Marketing Executive), this position will require for someone to provide leadership, instruction and direction for all employees attending events.

Responsibilities include:

* Management and delivery of all external events
* Line management
* Maintain knowledge of latest techniques and developments in the events industry and provide appropriate innovations
* Manage relationships with event agencies and suppliers (stand-build agencies, venues, event management agencies and A-V agencies)
* Pre-event briefings to staff and suppliers
* Health and safety responsibility at events
* Support Marketing and Communications team on marketing tools, including advertising, PR, DM, Social, email, web and print
* Competitor analysis
* Post-event reporting


The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of events and will be proven in the field for 3+ years. The candidate will be capable of conducting marketing activity for pre and post event (print, design, DM, events, advertising).

This role requires a full, clean, valid driving license. Attending events is essential (approx. 50 nights/year).
