This is a newly created position and it will be instrumental in the digital transformation of the business. The Head of Digital Marketing will develop and implement the digital strategy across all channels - PPC, SEO, website, VOD, social, display and re-targeting. An analytical and inquisitive mind will be crucial to recommending changes, drive improvement and implement cutting edge digital marketing practices in the business. This is a diverse, varied role but ultimately the role will be responsible for driving website optimisation and conversion rates. The successful candidate will have a passion for digital marketing and the capability to effectively manage the roster of agencies. Of equal importance will be person's desire to grow their career with a company that has both limitless ambition and opportunity for its employees. Candidates from both in house roles and agency backgrounds will be considered.

The company (with a portfolio of well known brands) is embarking on a significant and market leading upgrade of it's platform and it's associated web capability. Working for the group CMO, the GM of the division and closely with the IT division the Head of Digital Marketing will assume a high profile position in the company.

* Driving the customer acquisition strategy and retention's programmes.
* Reviewing and redeveloping the look and feel of the customer journey.
* Working with the wider team to develop content into the market place and focus in on generic rankings on search, alongside outreach and link building.
* Overseeing SEO and PPC, developing the associated keyword strategy.
* Leading the development of the overall social strategy.
* Working closely with the analytic's team to develop industry wide reporting tools.
* Working proactively & collaboratively with agencies to develop productive and commercial relationships.
* Researching and promoting internally emerging technologies, techniques & best practices in the digital arena.
* Managing and coordinating the budget for the team.

The candidate will an experienced head of digital marketing or ecommerce. He/She will be capable of driving the strategy throughout the business and take ownership for the results. Already an adept digital marketing professional the candidate will probably come from a consumer marketing background and have a highly commercial outlook. Of equal importance will be their ability to collaboratively drive the project and the team around them to deliver on the desired ambitions.
