Carter Murray have partnered with one of the leading, global, Financial Services brands who are seeking to appoint a Senior Marketing Manager their expanding team, based in Birmingham.

The role will focus on supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of the Business. The function focuses on understanding customers and the identification, development and execution of Marketing strategies, campaigns and activities that support and strengthen the brand, support the drive for revenue and increase customer value and satisfaction in order to meet agreed targets and objectives at both a global and market level.

This role is part of the Marketing Function Management team, which plays a crucial role in ensuring that a consistent operating framework and process is used to formulate, agree, optimise, prioritise and evaluate plans for execution. This includes the definition and management of the appropriate resources required for effective delivery. It also works closely with business partners to ensure budgets are deployed effectively and are clearly measured.

Key accountabilities

* The overall planning process that drives Marketing activity, with involvement and participation from local markets to derive Marketing plans that support global and local targets and objectives
* Deploying the Marketing planning framework consistently across the function and developing a range of tools to measure the effectiveness of Marketing activities
* Development, completion and approval of rolling Marketing plans, including proposed levels of spend for consideration as part of the global planning process
* On-going evaluation of plans and budgets to ensure the resources required are in place and that markets and regions are in line with the overall framework
* Setting, agreeing, monitoring and reporting on effectiveness and performance evaluation measures, driving the marketing effectiveness agenda and ensuring that marketing spend is optimal and business partners are updated on the results of the function.
* Managing the governance framework, organisational structure and key functional control documentation
* Having oversight of the Marketing budget, ensuring that all areas adopt a solid and robust approach to cost control and management

Knowledge and Experience

* Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Brand marketing experience across multiple categories
* Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. All Marketing Categories/Channels available
* Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Experience gained in a large blue chip/retail/brand environment
* Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Degree level or equivalent is desirable but not essential
* Experience of supporting others' performance, enabling them to achieve by providing clear direction, motivation and support
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectively and winning over audiences with compelling and persuasive presentations
* Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
* A broad understanding of financial budgets/statements/models, with experience of analysing data effectively for planning, forecasting and reporting
