The Communications Executive will be a massively important role within the business; it's an incredibly visible role, and everybody in the company will look to you for all communications within the business.

One day you could be vlogging for an company wide newsletter, and the next you could be dealing with Social Media and PR. There's enormous scope for someone to come in and truly put their own stamp on things.

Description

The Communications Executive role will be centralised around 3 key aspects; Internal Communications, PR and Social Media.

Firstly, the Internal commucations side of this role is critical- As a new internal comms strategy has just been developed, it'll be your responsibility to execute and establish this strategy to the best of your ability. There are company wide communication events bi-annually, and it will also be your responsibility to organise and co-ordinate events such as this.

As the role is so visible, you can expect everybody in the business to know your name and who you are- you'll be tasked with creating fortnightly emails and newsletters, to get the word out in regards to what the business is up to. This could be anything from creating a vlog about a certain employee, to approving and administering content from other contributors. The freedom is yours to choose!

You will be an administrator for the intranet, approving and proof reading content for the platform, and keeping the message fresh and relevant for employees of the business (alongside overseeing other Adhoc internal comms).

The second part, PR, is also a great part of the role. You will meet regularly with the core internal PR agency and explain the strategy moving forward and demonstrate the plan to execute it. There will be plenty of opportunity to get involved with campaigns and PR activity. You will be involved in the press office side of things, along side promotional and commercial opportunities. The marketing team is looking to lead the entire business down the line.

There will be a lot of reviewing if content and copy- this could be anything from press releases, web content and videos to media briefs and case studies.

Finally, the third aspect is the Social Media side of the role. Again, you will need to execute a pre-planned social media strategy which ensures that you are getting relevant content out to a relevant audience. In addition to this, you'll need to review the data behind the social media and use your analytical skills to emphasise and drive your own recommendations to better the strategy.


Profile

The Communications Executive will need to be an intelligent, personable and commercially aware character.

You will need to be comfortable under pressure, and able to manage deadlines and priorities with ease.

Finally, you must be able to successfully manage senior stakeholders within the business, and also be able to write excellent copy and proof read with precise and careful detail.
