This is an absolutely super opportunity!  A high level marketing role providing significant exposure across the business for continued career progression.  In a nutshell, this role is all about insight and strategy, with recommendations backed up by solid commercials - so it demands a strategically strong yet commercially astute marketer.  With headquarters based in Surrey, our client has some of the most recognised brands in the world. Their brands hold the No.1 or No.2 share position in 80 countries, and they have five billion-dollar brands!

As Marketing Manager, you will have responsibility for the largest business segment within the Professional group - personal care within the office environment. You will have multiple markets and stakeholders to work with and you will be required to travel.  This is a very strategic role using lots of insight to build plans and recommendations, working very closely with each market, particularly the UK and Germany.  Think of this as more of a consultative role within a very forward thinking, proactive business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the best way of reaching customers across all channels and even find new ways.
  • Immerse yourself in key markets to understand similarities and differences.
  • Build business models working with senior leaders across the business.
  • Conduct market reviews to understand what’s going on, what’s needed, what innovation, what product mix, what communications etc.

Person specification:

  • Strategically strong yet commercially astute.
  • Ideally B2B experience but could also have B2C, if there is an interest to move into this area.
  • Experience working across a number of different markets preferred.
  • Someone with charisma and a strong, positive personality.
  • Someone persuasive and collaborative.
  • Someone attracted to working in a really warm, open and supportive team.
