The B2B division of the Financial Times licenses FT content to organisations around the world, with clients across corporate, finance, government, professional services, education and media sectors. Based in London, you will be responsible for developing personalised communication across a variety of channels to engage our customers with FT journalism online. Ideally someone who is data savvy with a strong marketing background and experience in CRM and email marketing would thrive in this role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement customer lifecycle communications including on-boarding, engagement and retention
  • Deliver engagement tactics including trigger-based email communications to subscribers, display advertising and social media
  • Working with the Customer Success, Data and Research teams to identify needs of different customer segments and market relevant content, site tools and functions to users accordingly
  • Develop self-serve materials, blog content and web pages to help customers learn more about FT products
  • Liaise with data team to use behavioural data to drive engagement then build automated and triggered email campaigns working with our in-house email platform and the CRM Campaign Executive
  • Implement A/B split tests and analyse the results and optimise campaigns/programmes
  • Use social media to engage users off site and drive traffic on FT.com
  • Manage the end-to-end process of projects, from copywriting, working with agencies, defining contact lists and sending emails
  • Measure and report on the impact of campaigns on customer engagement and retention

Qualifications / Competencies / Skills / Experience


  • 3-5 years working in digital marketing
  • Well versed in building email and online campaigns
  • Experience of content marketing and other engagement tactics
  • Comfortable with data and analyzing campaign results in Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and manage key stakeholders
  • Digitally savvy and understands how to use social media
  • Strong project management skills with a keen focus on dates, deliverables and budgets
  • Good copywriting skills and experience of working with 3rd party suppliers
  • Effective communication skills and evidence of working collaboratively to achieve results
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience using HTML


  • Knowledge of multivariate testing methodologies and platforms
  • Knowledge of FastStats, PeopleStage
  • Good understanding of back-end data processes
