Key responsibilities:

Business Development:

* Research Bristol market and local opportunities
* Lead initial contact with target organisations to secure new business meetings
* Discuss pursuit plans for target organisations
* Track and report on pipeline progress at monthly sales meetings, also track status of relationships and influence what happens next
* Provide bid support and challenge to internal teams throughout the bid cycle, ensuring appropriate go/no go decision and development of winning value propositions

Marketing:

* Design and deliver comprehensive, innovative and integrated local marketing campaigns, where necessary, for lead generation purposes
* Liaise with central marketing to execute campaigns and understand best practice approaches
* Liaise with regional colleagues to leverage ideas and mitigate duplication of effort
* Ensure all external facing collateral complies with brand guidelines
* Responsible for generating local media coverage using both national and local PR content to do so

Client account management:

* Ensure appropriate client feedback is gathered using firm-wide mechanisms for doing so
* Have a detailed understand of key client accounts and work with local stakeholders to ensure proactive and defensive strategies are in place to grow and retain

You will need:

* Strong understanding of professional services preferred, including how services are procured
* Strong understanding of matrix-based organisations with complex service offerings
* Strong knowledge of local economy and drivers for change
* Ability to challenge, influence and persuade senior stakeholders
* Ability to delegate to junior staff
* Track record of initiating new client relationships
* Experience across online and offline channels and ability to determine most appropriate for any given campaign to maximise ROI
* Ability to be both analytical and creative
