Looking for a new insight challenge?  Strong client-side and/or research agency experience?  Our client, a leading player in the soft drinks market based within easy reach of north London or by train from Euston, needs exceptional insight talent to join the team.  In these key roles at the heart of the business, you will work alongside brand, innovation and commercial teams, helping to shape brand and category strategy and bring consumer and shopper opportunities to life in the market.  You will ensure that consumer and shoppers are at the centre of strategic decision making in the business, bringing strong analytical thinking and robust insight findings to the debate. This is a permanent role but we are also looking for an interim contractor for 3-6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a strategic thought-partner to marketing and the wider business to ensure that the objective voice of the consumer is considered in key business discussions and decisions.
  • Defining the insight gaps and research needs to deliver against strategic priorities and drive growth for the brands.
  • Partnering with the marketing teams to ensure that consumer insights are applied effectively to the development and optimisation of key assets and activities (eg communications, packaging) for specific category/brands.
  • Supporting the marketing and innovation teams in driving innovation strategy, working from initial opportunity identification, through concept development, to post-launch evaluation and refinement.

Skills & Experience Checklist

  • Commercial experience working in a Consumer Insight/Research environment, preferably with client side FMCG experience.
  • Hands-on experience in a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research and insight generation methodologies, and the ability to extract key learnings and insights and translate them into concrete recommendations.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and numerical skills, analysis – able to synthesize and communicate clear findings from multiple data sources.
  • Proven track record of autonomously managing a variety of ad-hoc research and landing key messages with key stakeholders to drive action.
  • Familiarity with of continuous market and consumer panel data. (e.g. Nielsen/Kantar).
  • Strong communication skills (written & oral) with an ability to inspire action in others.
  • A real drive for results and the energy and commitment to consistently making things happen!
