Head of Analytics and Customer Insight

£50-60,000 dependant on experience + package with flexible working around core hours

Located in the highly prestigious St Peter’s Square development in the city centre, Distrelec are establishing their new Enterprise Hub and hiring Head of Analytics and Customer Insight.

The Enterprise Hub will be the European centre for the implementation of their new digital operations that will deliver all online trading, marketing and technical deliveries for the organisation. 

Distrelec, part of the Datwyler group, is a leading online distributor for electronics, automation, measurement technology, IT and accessories in Europe and the exciting new Enterprise Hub in Manchester will be its first operational presence in the UK.

The role:

You will be tasked with developing tactics and strategies to ensure that, through e-commerce, customer sentiment is the driving force for how the company develops their proposition. You will select and manage the implementation of analytics tools (e.g. Omniture/Google Analytics) to provide detailed insights around customer behaviour.  

Key accountabilities:

A large part of your role will involve making data/insight driven recommendations for future capability enhancements, ensuring commercial viability and you will develop and introduce measurements for e-commerce marketing campaigns, focusing on ROI. You will work closely with the Head of Digital and will be managing a team of Analysts. 

Skills & experience:

You will need to have previous experience in online analytics, interpreting complex data sets to drive action. You will have ideally worked in a company where you have surveyed complex customer groups and provided a thorough understanding of marketing campaign processes and proven experience of using analytics tools to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI. You must have strong analytical/logical thinking skills, be able to work collaboratively and have the drive and ambition to progress in the role.
