About the role

FundsLibrary is one of the leading fund data management and technology solutions companies supporting the investment industry. Their fund industry hub manages data from over 500 global Fund groups covering more than 25,000 investment products including mutual funds, life and pension funds, ETFs, equities and investment trusts. Their data powers many of the UK's leading Platforms and the FundsLibrary website is used regularly by several thousand investment professionals for research, analysis and selection.

During 2016 the company successfully responded to some 74 million requests for data and managed the distribution of over 200,000 documents to Platforms, Wealth Managers, Life Companies, IFAs and their clients.

The Product Team is responsible for understanding market needs and converting these into products that customers love. They work closely with clients, getting to understand their needs and advising them on trends in the market and among their peers.

They work with sales and marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key value adds, and target markets. They also work directly with their software development teams to deliver products from existing ideas, increase the profitability of existing products, and develop new ideas.

The ideal candidate will already have detailed knowledge of products in the Asset Management and Platform industry, and an established track record of delivering successful digital products in those areas.

They will possess a blend of industry, business, and technical know-how; a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. They will enjoy spending time in the market with clients, to understand their problems and to find innovative solutions. They will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for their product offering, working with the sales channel and key customers.


Key experience and attributes:

* Detailed knowledge of products in the Asset Management and Platform industry
* Track record of managing growth of digital products
* Experience of user-centred product design
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Strong problem solver and confident decision maker
* Ability to use initiative and work independently
