The role reports to the Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager and is part of the central Digital team. Job purpose

* Operational support for the delivery of social media activity
* Operational administration and support for centralised social media platforms, channels and tools
* Checks digital and social content developed by other members of staff and supports the development and delivery of digital content and campaigns for other parts of the organisation as needed
* Co-ordinates and provides support for regional social media practitioners and channels, ensuring local channel owners are aligned to strategy, guidance etc.
* Monitors and responds to interactions on social media
* Gathers stats and data for performance analysis


* Create and edit content for social media channels and blogs as needed, ensuring that it is appropriate for audience for the audience / channel, conveys the correct messages and meets required objectives
* Proof and offer feedback on copy and content produced by other parts of the Society or partner agencies as required
* Work with teams across the organisation as appropriate to place and / or deliver digital campaigns, or campaigns with a digital element.
* Day-to-day support of social media platforms, tools and activity across a range of channels, in collaboration with other members of the Digital Marketing and Social Media team
* Ensure that social media channels are free of spam
* Support with the delivery of a monthly digital activity overview report
* Work with the Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager and the Marketing team to distribute guidance material for digital marketing and social media practitioners across the organisation

Educated to degree level or equivalent professional/technical qualification. Demonstrable experience in a digital marketing or social media role, working across multiple channels.


* Experience with a range of digital marketing tools, e.g. Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Facebook, Twitter etc
* Experience of developing, testing, analysing and improving content for digital marketing activity in line with digital best practice
* Excellent proofing and editorial skills, with a keen eye for detail
* Highly numerate, with the ability to quickly analyse and interpret data
* Some basic HTML and experience using Photoshop or other photo editing tools

* Voluntary sector experience

* A team player with the confidence and integrity to inspire trust and collaboration across a diverse matrix organisation
* Results-driven
* A well organised and resilient self-starter and problem-solver with a demonstrable passion for digital
* Good sector knowledge with an eye on emerging technologies and trends
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deal directly and appropriately with supporters and service users
