To contribute and drive forward the growing insight-based and data driven culture of the organisation.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of information and insight to support the organisations objectives and strategy. Includes: designing, developing, managing and delivering a range of projects and services within the specialist area.

Public sector organisation based in South Yorkshire.


Raise awareness of the work produced by Customer Insight and present findings/reports/analyses to stakeholders groups, combining insight from across the team where appropriate

Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of data by setting up self-service stakeholder reporting where appropriate.

Support the maintenance and enhancement of the insight tools/platforms reviewing, developing and coordinating operational and contingency plans as required.

Carry out data analysis and preparation/manipulation of statistics, which may include the use of geographical and socio-demographic data ensuring data quality is maintained at all times, including developing, disseminating and monitoring data protocols, including sourcing of data, validation, merging, purging and de-duplication.

Ensure the organisations data management procedures and data is compliant with data protection requirements and the organisations policies.

Manage and deliver large scale data/information/research projects working alongside colleagues across the organisation, offering professional advice and guidance, recommending appropriate research methods, and devising and delivering the analysis as necessary.

Work with colleagues across Customer Insight, Marketing, the Directorate, SPI, Corporate Systems, as well as external agencies (where appropriate) to design and produce data, data analysis and actionable insight.

Work collaboratively to provide the wider stakeholder/user group with best practice advice and support to successfully plan and deliver Customer Insight projects and plans.

Support the Customer Insight team in the development and delivery of data and research outputs to supplement the knowledge gained from behavioural and attitudinal primary and secondary sources.

Where appropriate, provide bespoke training and refresher sessions to all data/system/reporting users, tailored to their needs and business goals.

Support the day to day workload management of Assistant(s) or Graduate Intern(s).

Deputise for the Customer Insight Manager (within the specialist area) when required.

Educated to degree standard in a relevant area (or equivalent experience).

Evidence of commitment to continued professional development in relevant area.

Demonstrable experience of working in a digital analytics environment including expert use of one or more systems e.g. Google Analytics Tableau etc.

Skilled in utilising and interrogating data to enable the identification and segmentation of key target audiences

Experience of specifying, developing and analysing complex information, queries and problem solving to produce reports and recommendations that enable senior managers to make evidence based decisions

Experience of working effectively and collaboratively with cross structural, multi-disciplinary teams to ensure stakeholder requirements are met.

Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills including analysis and report writing.

Excellent numeracy skills, including the ability to understand, manipulate and interpret complex data and information

Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting demands and meet deadlines

Able to maintain accuracy and attention to detail whilst dealing with conflicting demands.

Job Offer

9 month contract paying up t0 £32k.
