The Head of Marketing role will excite & energise a senior marketing individual who wishes to join a growing FMCG business with clear ambitious long-term plans. Due to continued growth my client is actively looking for a dynamic and commercially astute senior marketing professional to take on full responsibility for a busy and demanding marketing department. You will manage a large team of marketers with full accountability and P&L ownership for their significant portfolio of great brands and products. In return, you'll relish the blank sheet of paper on offer and the opportunity to help build a very special business on an international scale.

Client Details

My client is an emerging FMCG business focused on making people's lives better. Simple. They have a large portfolio of brilliant products that have realised ground-breaking growth in the UK and European FMCG market. Their European HQ is commutable from Greater London, Surrey and Sussex.


Responsibilities will include:

* Being an integral leader within the business situated to drive growth and hit agreed objectives whilst providing strong leadership and management qualities

* Defining and implementing the marketing strategy

* Full P&L responsibility and financial responsibility for each brand

* Achieving aggressive Sales objectives

* Developing and implementing marketing systems, procedures and processes

* Identifying opportunities to create and launch new categories and brands to market

* Managing the NPD process from concept through to launch

* The Development of Profitable Trade Marketing plans

* Working closely with and supporting commercial teams

* Annual budget planning and management

* Managing a large marketing team


To be considered for this Head of Marketing role you must be able to demonstrate:

* Significant commercial marketing experience gained within FMCG (ideally within food) will be essential for this role

* A proven track record of managing and developing a busy marketing department

* A strong knowledge and understanding of the UK market will be essential

* A successful track record for executing the full marketing mix: advertising, media, promotions and communications

* Confidence in suggesting calculated risks

* Pro-activity and willingness to show initiative, thinking outside of the box

* Exceptional multi tasking skills, able to manage large workloads whilst also ensuring deadlines are met

* Strong, confident and clear communication skills at all levels (UK & International)

* Excellent board level presentation skills

* Consumer orientated, balanced with excellent commercial awareness

* Outstanding analytical and financial skills
