Description

The Head of Marketing, based in York will be responsible for implementing strategic planning of the marketing policy within the UK subsidiary.

You will define day to day marketing activities alongside writing long term marketing strategies, all in coordination with global outlines implemented by head office.



You will be involved in managing all marketing for the subsidiary and activities within the marketing department therefore you need to be able to communicate Head Office strategy to the marketing team to help drive ambition.

Duties will include:



* Development & implementation of marketing strategy the definition, supervision & control

* Obtaining data, analysis and interpretation of market data

* Maintaining constant communication with major stakeholders

* Team management

* Budget management

* Coordination and planning of marketing literature, including promotional campaigns

* ROI measurement and reporting

* Brand development and management

* Implementation of all multi-channel marketing including POS, online, offline, brochures & print and the innovation of the above

* Management of marketing agencies


Profile

The right candidate for the Head of Marketing role will be a Marketing professional with a Marketing Degree/background preferably the specialist toy market, FMCG, international retail or licensed consumer goods.

This is a key role within a global business therefore we are looking for a candidate with a high calibre & relevant qualities.

You will be eloquent in multi-channel & integrated marketing, most importantly considered and impactful when delivering key projects within all major platforms.

The preference for the candidate is from the toy industry, therefore experience and understanding of this market is key.

Relevant and proven experience - (in either C.V. or projects involved in, knowledge of competitor and markets)

You will be experienced in management of both a marketing team and stakeholders.



You will be passionate in implementing strategy to match a fast changing environment.



Having interest in the consumer & retail markets will enable you to be a motivated 'self-starter' and passionate about looking into the future of the business.

Being resilient is a fundamental factor, combined with the ability to work under pressure and make the correct decisions to deliver cohesive projects to key stakeholders.



To summarise the key non-negotiables for the Head of Marketing as below:


- Experience of creation, control and launch of successful TV campaigns.

- Experience of the TOY INDUSTRY and NPD

- Measuring results of key campaigns & reporting of findings to stakeholders.

- Experience and exposure into the Toy Market, understanding of competitors & market scope.

- Experience of pushing brand management and corporate identity in conjunction with the European toy market.

- Experience of managing day to day relationships with licensors.

- Excellent presentation and networking skills suitable for the toy market.

- Experience of being responsible for pricing, following guidelines set out by Head Office in conjunction with quotas in sales. This is an important factor the candidate as you will be involved in reporting on market potential and trends in group meetings.
