We’re staying closely connected to our loyal supporters while working hard to reach out to people who wouldn’t normally associate themselves with us. Here, you’ll have the support you need to make a big difference at the National Trust.

About the role
Your valued, vital role as Marketing Communications Consultant will drive innovation and ensure that our South West marketing campaigns are impactful, integrated and engaging our target audiences. You’ll be part of our in-house consultancy service and an internal expert on all aspects of marketing. While you’ll be working in the South West, collaboration with other regions and national colleagues is central to how you get things done. This is marketing with a shared purpose and passion.
Using all resources effectively, you’ll deliver the competitive edge that enables us to achieve our objectives. How can we make sure marketing activity, channels and media are aligned with the wide-ranging needs of properties and regions? How can we deliver campaigns and content that communicates our cause to new audiences and loyal supporters?
Drawing upon research and analysis, you’ll identify marketing needs and opportunities and put in place compelling plans and campaigns. You’ll integrate multi-channel marketing to ensure our messages and approaches are consistent. You’ll champion, commission and personally create content that makes people enthusiastic about our work and purpose. Collaboration will be at the heart of your role and people across the organisation will look to you for expertise and guidance. Varied and ever-interesting, this is an exciting opportunity to deliver high impact campaigns and content in a place where your ideas will be valued.
First and foremost, you’re an experienced marketing professional with an impressive track record of marketing planning, brand management and delivering innovative cross-channel campaigns. Not only is your marketing knowledge up-to-the-second, you also have a strong set of writing and editing skills, having produced a wide range of content for varied channels.
Credible and assertive, you have the skills for, and thrive on using data and insights to create impactful marketing campaigns. Evaluation is instinctive for you, and you have the experience to assess the impact of our marketing activity. You’ll be confident working with significant budgets and managing resources effectively. And with first-class communication skills, you’re comfortable advising and influencing people at all levels.
Your passion is infectious and you’ll use it to build strong working relationships and get other people on board with new ideas and approaches. It’s likely that you’ll already love our brand and what we do, and you’ll embrace this opportunity to take us onto the next chapter in our history.
