An exciting opportunity for an inspired Brand Manager within a leading utilities business has arisen to help the business to build brand momentum, drawing on a deep understanding of customers and their needs.

You will develop an understanding of current customer trends, insights to develop brand strategy that will be both meaningful and effective for the customer audience.

About the role:

-Managing the implementation of brand strategy, translating this into a tool for the business, driving engagement and bringing the brand vision and promise to life.

-Shaping and informing the development of customer propositions, ensuring these develop against customer needs and drive brand momentum.

-Ensuring brand activity aligns with the wider context of the brand portfolio, providing clarity too the role of brands in the portfolio, and making it easier for customers to navigate and teams to develop.

-Managing agency relationships and working closely with the insight team to ensure that briefs are insight-driven, with a focus on driving the brand forward.

-Ensuring that insight and brand tracking plays a critical role in decision making and customer offerings.

-Taking the lead on event planning, both internally and externally.

-Managing visual and verbal brand identity to reflect the company's positioning and applying this across all relevant customer touch points.

-Daily responsibility for brand governance by managing the brand approval process end to end.

-Supporting regular brand clinics to review creative briefs and provide guidance to sign off at key stages of the creative development process.

-Keeping the customer at the heart of the decision-making process and supporting the company's ambition to lead the digital transformation of the industry.

Skills and experience required:

-Proven ability to create and lead high-performing teams to deliver key business objectives.

-Experience of brand development, brand architecture management, VI and tone of voice.

-Understanding of brand auditing, reviewing and tracking techniques.

-Strong understanding of overall marketing mix.

-Excellent creative judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly communicate ideas and objectives.

-A positive, creative and innovative thinker.

-Good understanding of insight and how to interrogate data to gather key insights and drive the brand forward.

-Experienced in agency relationship management, confident in brief writing, leading thinking for the group and new brands in the market.

-A proven team player, passionate about what they do, with the confidence to build relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels.

-A proactive approach, with the ability to remain well-organised in the face of deadlines and work effectively on multiple projects effectively.
