Senior Product Manager - Construction

Permanent, full-time

London based, with monthly European travel.

My client is a leading international name in the building products space, namely roofing products and civil engineering solutions.

The business is undergoing a very exciting period of transformation, with the set up of a new Central London office and marketing strategy, and as such, they are looking for skilled Senior Product Managers across their portfolio of offerings, with extensive B2B product management experience, to lead the vision and strategy to underpin a reinvigorated customer journey.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a fundamental role as part of a high-performing product management team, with the aim of delivering the vision and strategy behind the delivery of industry leading system solutions.

Through your leadership and actions, you will help to deliver a clear vision for product management and driving customer-centric initiatives and innovation.

Role purpose:

To manage the European Product Management strategy and activities across all European sub-regions to support business growth.

-Creating and developing an activation plan and strategy for the relevant category.

-Developing a clear product and systems portfolio to enable the transition from a transactional product-led approach to a customer-driven systems solutions approach.

-Demonstrating confident business performance management, establishing dashboards, monitoring performance and recommending remedial actions.

-Contributing to and supporting cross functional teams developing the go-to-market plans for NPD and initiatives.

-Identifying key learnings from new product introductions and applying learnings to forward initiatives.

-Managing the full product life-cycle and portfolio across relevant product categories and sub-segments.

-Addressing channel strategy considerations, e.g. contractor channel, distribution channel, DIY channel and product tiering.

-Working with export teams to understand the geographic expansion strategies and incorporating these requirements into strategy and planning.

-Leading NPD requirements, working with R&D, exports and marketing to ensure requirements are developed and understood.

-Working with NPD stage-gate process to realise NPD requirements make go-to-market ready.

-Playing a key role in creating and developing major, industry-changing initiatives.

The successful candidate:

-Will thrive and succeed in a fast-paced and changing environment.

-Will have 5+ product management experience, ideally working with construction, roofing or waterproofing materials.

-A team player with business drive and customer experience.

-Demonstrates excellent leadership, collaboration partnering and entrepreneurial skills.

-Strong presentation skills - written, verbal and audience.

-Willing and able to travel to Europe on a regular basis (monthly at least), with occasional travel to USA.

-An entrepreneurial spirit and inquisitive personality are an absolute must, with the drive and determination to realise business success.
