This role is key in supporting the member firms and regions in identifying and pursuing their most highly valued clients and targets, with a focus on clients with international operations and identifying areas to cross sell where possible. The role requires active engagement with service lines, industry teams, marketing, regional and local teams. The purpose is to create the best possible environment to enable any member firm to generate revenue from clients. A significant part of this is enabling effective collaboration across borders.

In this role your responsibilities will include:

* Supporting the strategic project focussed on winning international business through enabling the global account teams pursuing and serving top strategic clients and targets.
* Act as convenor and facilitator, pulling together the right teams to serve the right clients and creating a nurturing environment in which these teams and clients will thrive.
* Actively support and drive the implementation, and ongoing development of, the global client programme. This may be through the direct support to account teams to make the most of the network or by developing solutions to barriers. Provide support to the International Business Centre community, driving awareness and promoting best practice across the network.
* Work closely with the marketing team and the service lines to ensure that industry thought leadership are focused on the BD opportunity and campaigns are developed with top clients in mind.
* Support member firms in using global thought leadership to develop opportunities for business development amongst their key client base.
* Work with the account teams to identify and differentially invest in the key clients of tomorrow: strategic targets with the biggest commercial opportunities.
* Leverage and deploy suite of resources to support member firm colleagues in having insightful conversations with their most valued client.

You will need to be/have:

* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* A strong track record of developing, implementing and delivering BD and strategic marketing plans to achieve agreed fee income targets.
* Experience with client satisfaction measurement and using client feedback to improve the client experience.
* A strong commercial awareness and the ability to engage with and influence key decision makers at a senior level, to identify new business opportunities with both new prospects and existing clients.
* Thorough understanding and demonstrable application of lead generation, sales and or client management activity and proposal/bid management.
* Strong communication and influencing skills. Succinct business writing style couple with the ability to adapt and be flexible according to audience.
* Proven ability to develop simplified and efficient business processes.
* Manages own time and completes multiple tasks/assignments with potentially competing deadlines.
* Experience / working knowledge of MS Excel and Word, Internet and email.
