As the Marketing Manager your main objective is to develop and implement the marketing and brand strategy for the core business portfolio in order to raise product and brand profile, drive market share, increase sales and margin contribution %age. This portfolio is the key pillar of the brand accounting for a significant proportion of Net Sales Value (NSV) and Gross Profit delivery for the brand.

Based in Liverpool City Centre, a well known brand with a team orientated culture are looking for a commercially focused Marketing Manager, due to internal promotions. An exciting time to join this ambitious company and a fantastic opportunity for someone to establish themselves and develop with a team.


As the Marketing Manager you will be responsible for:

* Ensuring P&L delivery
* Lead the "Brand Business Team", developing Brand Strategy for associated products including: consumer positioning, competitive positioning, distribution, pricing and range based on sound consumer insights and robust analysis

* Manage the Innovate & Renovate (I&R) process within the business team successfully implementing agreed new initiatives

* Track and report on brand performance against agreed KPI's and ensure delivery of agreed annual budget

* To managing marketing spend against agreed budget and to target efficiency savings where possible.


The successful Marketing Manager will need to be a:

* BA Graduate (any discipline)

* Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) post grad diploma

* Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, FMCG preferred, but not essential

* Ability to work on own initiative and anticipate issues, trends and opportunities for improvement and present compelling recommendations for change

* Ability to take initiative and lead cross-functional teams

* Ability and comfort to present ideas to a variety of audiences as required

* A natural relationship builder, is able to relate to a wider cross section of people and a natural relationship builder

* Ambitious, driven, results oriented and self-motivated

* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to adapt styles according to the audience, and to manage and influence senior stakeholders

* Not afraid to challenge others and the status quo

* Highly creative with the commitment to deliver and encourage fresh ideas

* A collaborative team player

* Good attention to detail is imperative

* Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential
