Innovation Brand Manager
At pladis we are recruiting for an Innovation Brand Manager to support delivery of the innovation agenda for the Chocolate portfolio (including the Godiva Brand) and Ready Made Innovation across Sweet snacking categories.
The Godiva brand is a significant focus for pladis who wish to establish it as a truly global FMCG brand. This is a key strategic pillar within the business and we have a big ambition for growth over the next 3-5 years.
Within Chocolate, the role of Innovation is to identify opportunities for future growth and develop a pipeline of initiatives to establish the Godiva Brand in the market, driving portfolio penetration.
Within Sweet snacking, the role of innovation is to identify opportunities for future growth beyond the grocery channel, that could be met by products within the existing pladis portfolio, developing a pipeline of initiatives for launch in the market.
This is a newly created role in our fast growing Innovation team that reports into the Innovation Marketing Controller. The successful Innovation Brand Manager will be accountable for defining, testing & executing new growth opportunities for the Chocolate and ready made innovation portfolio. You will be involved in projects on innovation strategy, positioning, consumer insights, testing, commercial optimisation and operational implementation in the pladis retail environment.
The Innovation Brand Manager will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of NPD opportunities within the chocolate portfolio, which will in turn drive business incremental growth to meet sales and profit targets in line with strategic plans and KPIs.
You will work with the wider teams within pladis and will take ownership of developing ready made innovation, as we look across our global pladis brands and identify how we can expand our offering across Grocery and Out of home channels.

Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a level of innovation and marketing experience, preferably gained within a challenging FMCG environment. As a result of experience to date, you should bring demonstrable skills and knowledge in the following areas:
- Use of analytical skills and intuition to help generate consumer driven strategies that deliver incremental NPD opportunities
- Consumer insight led thinking – ‘walk in consumers shoes’ to identify powerful & engaging consumer opportunities and manage the ongoing funnel of ideas which meets the revenue targets for their portfolio
- Commercial experience – strong financial understanding to build innovation ideas whilst balancing commercial, customer and consumer motivation to deliver incremental top & bottom line growth
- Project management - deliver high quality results with attention to execution
- Can do attitude – spots opportunities, takes appropriate/ calculated risks & learns from previous experience and get stuff done
