Carter Murray is currently partnering with a leading energy business with an opportunity for an experienced Insight/Research Analyst.

To be based in Croydon or Hove you will be responsible for assisting the Research Manager in the collection and interpretation of information regarding consumer attitudes and behaviour with respect to brand, communications, and a wide range of corporate issues in order to facilitate customer insight, leading to optimal brand strategies.

The role will also include assisting with desk research, gathering insight and trends from external and internal sources as well as evaluating sponsorship requests and working closely with the requesting party and agencies alike but also keen judgment, business acumen and most importantly a very clear view of our brand strategy Measuring and reporting on communications performance integrating with social/digital analytics data so that all communications teams understand the effect of their planning decisions and the value returned from their activities
It is integral you take an active role in supporting the Brand team in embedding the "Voice of the Customer" in Brand activities, communicating market intelligence and consumer trend information to the wider brand team and drive continuous improvement in presentational content, format and use of media.

Educated to degree level, preferably in a discipline relating to Market Research, Marketing, Social Sciences, Statistics or equivalent experience, you will have a basic knowledge of market research methodologies/reporting gained from experience of working with consumer data. Excellent operational skills is required and experience in liaising with external agencies or working within a research agency.

With excellent presentational and communication skills and relevant IT skills and creativity necessary to prepare impactful and engaging research reports, summaries and presentations, you will have skills in quantitative and qualitative research elements such as data analysis, questionnaire design, tabulation comprehension and reporting desirable.
