Communications Manager - creating both internal and corporate communications for online and offline channels.

Your new company
A large-scale community trust, based in Southampton, which provides a range of community and specialist mental health services to over a million people in the local area. They are undergoing a number of changes to the locations of their services and so require these to be clearly communicated.

Your new role
Due to significant changes in public services you will be required to create and implement a communications plan to proactively promote information to staff and the local community. In addition you will market the Trusts brand and services to ensure key stakeholders remain fully engaged. You will also be responsible for conducting research, followed by interpreting and presenting information to a range of audiences.

Duties will include commissioning, editing and proofreading copy for online and offline platforms. You'll work closely with the PR Manager to manage press enquiries and create press releases. Use digital and social media channels to communicate messages to internal and external audiences. Develop lively, engaging, informative and appropriately targeted content for both internal and external websites.

What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience within a Marketing Communications role, operating at strategic level, incorporating both internal and external audiences; ideally within an NHS environment. Proven ability to create a high-standard of content for both off and online channels; previous experience of using social media channels to communicate. A calm and patient manner, with the ability to work well in a busy environment; ability to multitask and manage crisis media situations.

What you'll get in return
Salary £26k - £35k. 12 month fixed term contract with possibility of extension. Opportunity to engage with, and impact the structure of, the local community.
