Exciting Opportunity to join Melitta in a newly created role. They are currently seeking an experienced Trade Marketer to drive their Melitta brand forward in the UK.

Melitta is an award winning market leader in supplying both branded and private label cling film and aluminium foil products. They export worldwide, which means they have a wealth of international experience in the industry sectors they serve.
Supplying to the catering, hospitality and retail sectors, they are the company behind the catering brands Wrapmaster and Caterwrap as well as the prestigious household brand Bacofoil.
This role will be working on their Melitta brand which was introduced to the UK market in 2014. Melitta products are focused around coffee preparation and include filter papers, filter coffee makers and fully automated machines. They are currently looking for an experienced Trade Marketer to drive the Melitta brand forward within the UK market.
Detailed Job Description
The Consumer and Trade Marketing Manager will help to create, deliver and execute a compelling strategy for Melitta in the UK. They will provide direction for the Melitta brand, by translating the company objectives into specific consumer strategies and trade plans with the aim of achieving company targets.
They will use insight and key market data in order to analyse the market and make recommendations on opportunities for Melitta to grow, working closely with the sales team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing and promotional activity within the UK ensuring the Melitta products are commercially placed within the market and positioned in order to gain market share.
They will be responsible for developing trade marketing collateral such as POS and trade brochures working closely with external agencies to ensure they are executed to high standards and on time. They will be responsible for developing and executing the customer trade show programme within the UK. This role will report into the Senior Brand Manager, and will provide forecasting of sales and volume for the brand ensuring the company is prepared accordingly. This individual will be confident and able to present the trade marketing strategy to senior internal stakeholders within the business and act as the brand champion for Melitta within the UK.
The successful Consumer & Trade Marketing Manager will have:
- Demonstrable experience in brand or trade marketing management
- Experience of managing brands in FMCG or Small Domestic Appliances (SDA)
- Confidence and the ability to develop and present compelling trade marketing presentations.
- Good analytical skills (Nielsen, GFK, and qualitative market research)
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- The Ability to work cross functionally, including working with teams in Germany
- A commercial mind-set
