Based in Birmingham our client is a niche provider of assistance and services to individuals facing social and financial difficulties. As an established social enterprise it prides itself on the quality of the service it offers and the ability to change the lives of its customers.

The organisation operates as a 'not for profit' business and therefore returns the surplus it generates back into the community it serves. As the organisation grows rapidly and diversifies it's services and product offerings it is looking to recruit an experienced Bid & Business Development Manager. The level of interest in the organisation and what it can offer its client base has resulted in significantly increased tender response requests.

This role is extremely broad, hands on and highly commercial. As the organisation operates as a social enterprise the candidate must be commercially savvy and understand the requirements that generate profitable 'contracts'. The candidate will be required to manage the 'cradle to grave' process of bids and tender requests.

The person will become an expert in the market and be responsible for commercially analysing each potential contract. The role holder is responsible for deciding whether it is in the best interests of their customers and the business before responding. The Bid & Business Development Manager will take enormous pride in the quality of each tender response and be accountable for bespoking information that is relevant and compelling to their clients. The successful candidate will also enjoy the implementation and mobilising of contracts and ensuring that the ROI is measured and fed back accordingly.

As a key member of the Business Development team this role will encompass a wide variety of other marketing led responsibilities. The candidate will relish producing thought leadership articles and content that can be communicated to the relevant markets. Equally the ability to provide meaningful insight and data that identifies new growth opportunities for the organisation will be advantageous.

Candidates could come from a variety of sectors and backgrounds but an understanding of working with complex bids and tenders is essential.
