Description

* Manage and administer membership, including maintaining an information database, acting as first point of contact for members and dealing with their enquiries.

* Organising recruitment, engagement and activity programmes with members

* Support the Head of Communications in plans to sustain, build and maintain membership, leading recruitment projects and membership development.

* Work with other members of the communications team to inform members and staff of key service developments, relevant policy changes and news through a variety of communication channels, including e-bulletins, emails, members magazine.

* Act as first port of call for membership and other enquiries, including those from the media, taking initial phone calls and sourcing information, with the guidance of senior colleagues. Assist in creating legible, informative, corporate media statements/releases which can, after approval, be issued to local and national media in a timely manner

* Co-ordinate relevant staff attendance at media interviews, providing effective communications, reassurance and advice

* Co-ordinate and manage the articles for the membership magazine, including obtaining information for articles, writing/editing articles and arranging photographers

* Organise, coordinate and assist with the production of videos.

* Help maintain e-calendar of events

* Assist in the management of the internet and intranet sites, including the presence on the websites of other organisations.

* Assist in the monitoring of media coverage and maintain an electronic cuttings library, circulating relevant articles to senior team members and other stakeholders as appropriate.


Profile

You will need to be a confident communicator with stakeholders both internally, and externally at all levels.

You will need to be a competent Communications professional with a desire to expand your skills and experience in this area.

You will need to be a good copywriter and have excellent organisation skills and be able to integrate quickly into the team
