Our client, The Wrigley Company, a subsidiary of Mars Inc., who are based in Reading are looking for an Ecommerce Innovation Project Leader.

Role description

This role will be pivotal in transforming the Wrigley business & preparing it for the future. It'll work closely with senior sales & marketing stakeholders to identify where to play & how to play within existing digital channels & to support & unlock new disruptive technologies for the future.

Focusing on the changes likely to emerge over the next decade, such as trends in mobile, e-commerce and shopper behaviour, as Ecommerce Innovation Project Leader you'll be right at the core of driving our efforts to develop new business models outside our traditional channels - to ensure product is available wherever a transaction can take place and also to enable Wrigley to become global leaders in digital impulse. Reporting to our Senior Manager D&I and with a high degree of autonomy, the Ecommerce Innovation Project Leader will be the face of Mars IT to Global Sales. As our expert in digital and e-Commerce, with wide technology and business perspective, you'll be tasked with:

  • identifying new opportunities and support existing programs where IT can add strategic value to
  • transforming the way we sell and market our products
  • ultimate accountability for the end-to-end project delivery
  • creating and managing a technology innovation pipeline for use in digital and physical scenarios.

The role will be based in Reading

Who we're looking for

With degree equivalent experience in IT, Business or a similar discipline, the Ecommerce Innovation Project Leader role will have already started to carve out an impressive career within e-commerce and mobile technology. And if that's in FMCG, even better. In addition to your proven e-commerce and digital expertise (with CPG a bonus), underpinned by the ability to converse in business language within an IT context, your remarkable customer focus enables you to form productive relationships with business partners, IT teams and project leaders. Able to work with a high degree of independence, you're technically curious, seriously motivated by business IT, its capability and potential. A strong project planner/manager, familiar with linked key tools and techniques, you're also:

  • at home in an international, multicultural environment
  • an impressive all-round communicator and influencer
  • willing to travel extensively.
