The world is changing, audiences are changing and the way the BBC goes about its mission – creating inspiring content that informs, educates and entertains – is changing too. One part of this change is our decision to set up a team of digital content innovators in Birmingham, Europe’s youngest city.

Joining the team as a Digital Creative, you’ll work with the Creative Lead across multiple genres, formats and platforms to dream up new ways of reaching young audiences. And with the entire digital world at your fingertips, there’s no limit to where you could take us.

What you’ll do
Researching, generating ideas and concepts, coming up with new methods of capture and delivery – armed with knowledge of digital trends, you’ll dream up new ways of putting the BBC front and centre of the digital market.

That means understanding how young people consume content – working closely with BBC channels and brands including Radio 1, CBBC, & BBC Three, as well as BBC Future Media’s R&D Team to get to the bottom of it. Then, equipped with that understanding, it means making innovative use of online technologies, social and mobile to create the biggest possible impact.

A bit about you
A passionate creative, chances are you’ll have already created your own successful You Tube Channel, digital magazine or interactive product – bringing concepts and ideas to life in new and innovative ways. And you’ll certainly have consumed similar content yourself across a wide range of media.  

Team work is also key. So strong communication skills are essential. As is an understanding of how off the shelf technology and software allows people to create and consume content in a digital world. Take an adventurous and creative approach to everything you do, and you’ll soon help to put the BBC in an exciting new position.
