The Product Manager 'owns' a productized service (or in this case, several) through its lifecycle, supporting the business to develop services that meet market needs and manage them in a way that optimizes business results:
- Conduct market research (including desk based and direct observation) and competitor intelligence analyses to ensure our productized services come from a deep understanding of the market
- Produce business cases for pursuing specific opportunities, including financial forecasts and risk assessments
- Manage product definition and planning including: defining product features, pricing, financial targets, user personas, product go to market plan and Product Plan Document
- Communicate to the technical development team the market requirements for products approved for development
- Communicate to the Marketing Manager market problems to be solved to allow development of plans that enable customer acquisition and retention
- Implement in partnership with the field and sales organizations annual market plans for individual productized services
- Track and monitor the performance of a product against the sales and profit targets established in the market plan, adjusting plans where necessary based on the feedback of the market
- Prepare and oversee the execution of plans for product enhancements
- Manage the withdrawal of a productized service at the appropriate time in its lifecycle in l

The education, experience, skills and qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- Specific experience of Talent products in the field of leadership or competencies
- Progressive experience in a product management and assessment business
- In depth knowledge of client needs and issues within the assessment market and competitive market place knowledge
- Ability to develop strategic plans and manage long term (3 to 5 year) product development lifecycles to respond to the needs of the market
- Impact and influence and relationship building skills to work across Productized Services and with assessment services vendors
- Tenacious and achievement oriented, able to manage projects, workloads and competing deadlines successfully
- Self-starter possessing the ability to work autonomously and with minimal direction as part of a global, virtual team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including cultural sensitivity
